While the base defence system adds an exciting element to the game, it also reveals numerous fundamental problems that detract from the entire experience.
The character customisation is quite extensive in terms of character qualities, however it is aggravating that you cannot change the colour of your character’s eyes. It may be a minor issue, but it is weird, especially in a game with such extensive customisation as this. It also appears like the developers only had a woman in mind for character development, as all of their options are better and more detailed.
The player wakes up in a lab stasis pod and is given a quick lesson. Basic movement, attacks, and a few interactions with containers later, you are released into the world. While there is a tale that leads you from site to location, it is largely secondary to the gameplay. The plot feels more like an afterthought, with little explanation and incentive for your choices.
Night of the Dead Free Download for PC Game showed promise, especially with its base defence mechanics and nightly zombie waves to keep you on your toes. However, even after four years, it is hindered by uninspired world design, bad combat mechanics, and a terrible story.
