The game takes place between the events of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings cinematic trilogies, from which it draws inspiration. The player continues the story of Talion, a Gondor soldier who has connected with the wight of the elven lord Celebrimbor, as they build a new Ring of Power to assemble an army to confront Sauron.
In Middle-earth: Shadow of struggle, players use a new Ring of Power to fight Sauron and his Nazgul in a titanic struggle over Middle-earth. Expanding the award-winning Nemesis System brings the open-world action-adventure game to life. As in the first game, player actions and decisions affect the surroundings and people, creating a unique world for each gameplay experience.
The player of this game can explore different areas of a fantasy world while completing difficult tasks. Side quests can also be done to get special items and points that will help them later in the game. These Special Points can be used to improve both characters’ skills and powers, giving the player more control over how they play. Also, enemies can get bigger and more powerful than the player.
